The old town was founded more than 2,000 years ago and is surrounded by an impressive city wall from the 13th century. As you step through the magnificent city gates, you’re greeted by a maze of narrow streets. The whole area is crammed with ancient medieval buildings and Roman houses adorned with colorful flowers.
When visiting the old town of Alcudia, remember to climb the ancient city walls. From here there’s an absolutely stunning view of the surrounding area! The old town also offers countless lovely restaurants, cafes, and small shops worth visiting.
2. Hidropark
Hidropark is the only water park in the northern part of the island. In return, it’s the third-largest water park in Mallorca. 7. Sa Bassa Blanca Museum

The museum is located on the peninsula just outside the city and requires only a short drive by car to reach. Inside the museum and the surrounding sculpture park, an impressive collection of modern art is on display. Here you’ll find many beautiful paintings, photographs, and sculptures.
8. Alcudia Marina
One of the most popular things to do in Alcudia is to visit the beautiful marina of Alcudia. I highly recommend spending some time strolling around the marina looking at the many boats while enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. Afterward, you can visit one of the great restaurants, cafes, or shops located in the area by the marina.
9. Mirador Penya del Migdia
On the peninsula off Alcudia, you’ll find the Mirador Penya del Migdia, a beautiful lookout point and watchtower. To reach the vantage point, it requires a relatively easy but long hike of a couple of hours. Along the way, you’ll hike through the stunning nature of the La Victória Reserve.
Reaching the top of the Mirador Penya del Migdia, you’re at an altitude of 354 meters. From here, there’s an outstanding panoramic view of the entire area. You can see all the way to Alcudia, the sea, and the bays. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of the neighboring island of Menorca. Note that you’ll need a car, bicycle, or other means of transportation to get to Mirador Penya del Midgia.
10. Església de Sant Jaume d’Alcúdia
Església de Sant Jaume d’Alcúdia is a Roman Catholic church located in the Old Town of Alcudia. Even though it’s a small church, it’s still quite beautiful inside and out. If you’re nearby anyway, the church is definitely worth a visit.
The church stands on the same site as the original church that was built back in 1302. Unfortunately, the original church collapsed but fortunately, a new one was built on the site. The present church was completed in 1893 built in beautiful neo-Gothic architecture.
11. Go-Karting
If you need some action during your trip to Alcudia, you should visit Kartingmania en el Hotel Bellevue. This go-kart track in Alcudia is located on the BelleVue Club, a large hotel complex in Alcudia. I actually stayed at this hotel during my last trip to Mallorca. It was an excellent hotel with many fun activities.
Kartingmania en el Hotel Bellevue is one of the best things to do in Alcudia if you love speed. It’s a fun activity for the whole family. For the sake of children’s safety, there’s a separate go-kart track for children aged 4-7 years. Inside the hotel complex, you can also find mini-golf, badminton, and other fun activities. 12. Roman ruins of Pollentia
Near the Old Town of Alcudia, you’ll find the Roman ruins of Pollentia. It was once the most important city in Mallorca. Pollentia was founded in 123 BC but has been in ruins since around the year 435. Inside the ruined city, you can explore excavations of a residential area, a forum, a cemetery, and a theater.
A short distance from the Roman ruins of Pollentia, there’s an archeological museum. Inside the museum, you’ll be able to learn a great deal about Pollentia. If you’re interested in history, Pollentia is definitely one of the best things to do in Alcudia. However, you should be aware that the city hasn’t been excavated that much yet.
13. Go on a boat trip
Another popular thing to do in Alcudia is to spend a day at sea. You can find many kinds of boat trips in Alcudia. For example, you can go on a sunset trip or a diving trip. You can also seize the opportunity to sail with a catamaran, a speedboat, a glass-bottom boat, or perhaps a boat sailing past Cap de Formentor. If you’re lucky, you might even spot free dolphins frolicking in the ocean waves.
